...and Motorcycle Jesus smiled upon thee

March 24, 2014

Working on the blog updates from Punta Arenas and my trip back north through Argentina and Chile again, but this couldn't wait.

Wrapped up some minor bike maintenance today and decided to take a late afternoon ride around town.  At sunset I arrived at Q'enqo, an ancient Inca huaca that sits on hill overlooking downtown Cusco, and was greeted with a rainbow.  It filled me with an unmistakable feeling that everything about this moment was "right" and, for the first time in a long time, I knew that I was exactly where I needed to be.

#tbt in #Chile (and #peru!). In parts of the #Atacama #Desert, it doesn't rain for years on end, and the land looks like Mars than Earth. You can ride for hundreds of miles without seeing a single tree, cactus, or blade of grass out here.
#tbt in #Chile week 2: Shared my lunch with this dark-haired cutie one afternoon, but I didn't have room to stuff in her my jacket and take her with me :'(

Going back to #Chile for #tbt : Moonrise in the #Atacama #Desert with my friend Oristárco from #Santiago.
